Timo Lemmetti:

Timo Lemmetti is a street photographer based in Helsinki, Finland. Timo began shooting classic street style on film about 15 years ago, but with time found his own niche, which is a mixture of street, minimalism, architecture and abstract. Timo's photos have been awarded in competitions such as Minimalist Photography Awards, ND Awards, Urban Photo Awards and more.

Although Timo's photos are rather simple in a way that he always frame out the extra noise, he still tries to tell a story every time. He is very careful with framing and negative space plays a big role in all of his photos. He historically has only offered his work in square images - and in Timo's words "this collection with Gallery by ASP is unique in a way that all the images are original frames without any cropping. I hope you enjoy!"

About The Shot:

Timo says: "I call it "Awkward" because that is how I first felt about this composition. There’s a really strong feel of movement with the structure and the plane and things almost seem to get out of hand, but somehow everything holds together – and that is why this challenging frame is one of my all time favorites. It took the shot crouching under that wooden structure and prayed for that plane cross it parallel, as it did. This photo has been on display in many places as a square image but never as an original landscape frame. Some might say it’s even better this way."
